Continents and Oceans

Africa Africa is the large land mass to the south of Europe. Some research suggests that the human race started here. Europeans have colonized, and then released, much of the continent. The colonizing had an effect of taking many resources from the land, but leaving native residents without education. Much of the area at the desert and north has dominant Arabic cultures. The areas to the south have a mix of native and European cultures.
Antarctica This is an ice-covered landmass on the south end of the planet.
Arctic Ocean
Asia The continent of Asia is actually all except the western edge of the Eurasian land mass. It is home to some ancient cultures. These cultures, with the exception of ancient Mongolians, did not conquer or colonize other continents to the extent that Europeans did. These groups did attack or conquer each other at times. Europeans did colonize several areas on the south of the continent.
Atlantic Ocean The Atlantic Ocean covers one quarter of the world's water surface. It separates between Europe and Africa from the Americas.
Caribbean Sea The Caribbean Sea lies in the Americas. A chain of volcanic islands separates it from the Atlantic Ocean. Europeans colonized the islands. They brought African natives as slaves as the natives died from being enslaved. A few of the islands gained independence. Today, most of their residents are descendants of the immigrants, their slaves, and the few remaining natives. Colonizers moved some of the natives to the coast of Central America, mostly around Guatemala.
Central America Central America is a volcanic strip that bridges North America with South America. This volcanic strip is part of the Pacific Ocean's Ring of Fire. Its southern end is the Colombian Border in South America. Its northern end is the Mexican border.
Europe The continent of Europe is actually the western edge of the Eurasian land mass. It is center to the starting point of some of the larger cultures in the world. People from the countries in Europe conquered or colonized much of the rest of the world.
Indian Ocean This is the body of water to the south of Asia and East of Africa. It has a some islands in it. With the exception of Madagascar, they are all dependencies of countries.
Mediterranean Sea
North America This is the northern landmass of the American hemisphere. Some think of North America to include Central America and the Caribbean Islands.
Oceania Oceania is a collection of landmasses that separate the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It includes several collections of islands and the continent of Australia. Most of the cultures here are mixes of native tribes and colonizers from Europe. Cultures from Asia and North America have also colonized here.
Pacific Ocean This is the largest body of water in the world. The ocean's name means "peace." The islands in it and land around it are volcanic. These areas have frequent earthquakes and eruptions. There are often eruptions and earthquakes under the ocean. The earthquakes will cause large waves that will wash out cities on the surrounding beaches.
South America This is the southern landmass of the American hemisphere.
