New Caledonia is in the Pacific Ocean. Its capital is Noumea. This place is a territory of France. It is at 21° 30' South, 165° 30' East. New Caledonia has an area of 19,060 square kilometres (7,359 square miles). The population is 256,275. This population is from a 2011 estimate.
